Families forever

It's been a hard couple of months for my family first my grandpa Tom( my dads dad) died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving Nov. 22 then Grammy Gayle( my moms mom) died exactly a month later Dec. 22 right after we had a family Christmas party.
Today was grandma gayle's funeral. It was a great winter day to celebrate her life. She was an amazing women. She had real unconditional love for everyone she was always optimistic and always smiling and loved treats and was always handing them out.
How can I be so happy for her to be reunited with her family and grandpa but yet have it hurt so much. I am so grateful she is happy and no longer suffering. During her life she always had to be busy and doing something so having this sickness was so difficult as she forgot how to do everything. She didn't know how to just do nothing. She made all her grandchildren feel loved and important supporting us in what ever we did. I remember her coming to all my dance performances she could. She loved this gospel and she loved teaching in church and teaching school. She had a strong testimony of the power of prayer and say she had a direct line to heaven, and she did for sure!
I am so grateful for this gospel and for the knowledge that I have she is in heaven healed and happy. I will see her again someday. I'm sure she busy serving and teaching others there.
Grammy gayle I hope to live a love filled life just like you. You were as near to perfect as anyone could be I believe -thank you for your example in family life and eternal families. Till we are together again.. I love you so much!

Thanksgiving

This year at Thanksgiving it was at my parents house and Felicity was the only grandchild of my parents there so Myndee was able to give her most of her attention so she was loving it!!  My mom's brother and sister and most of  their kids came so we had a house full but it was great to catch up with the cousins and play games!  UNTIL we got a call saying grandpa Tom had been taken to the hosiptal and wasnt going to make it...

Grammy Gayle

I love my grammy so much.  about 6 months ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia.  every day she is weaker and weaker and more and more confused it is really is so hard for me to watch her going away so quickly and beginning to suffer day after day.  She doesn't want to leave her house EVER but can't ever be left alone now anymore so we are just taking it day by day with any  family member who can help out taking a turn to sit and help her. My mom is basically living in Logan most on the week until the beginning of the year when we will possibly try a nursing home.  She cold and shaky most of the time and is losing alot of weight because she is never feels hungry its just got to be hard that the messages are not communicating with the brain properly.  The nurses have brought a wheel chair and a hospital bed for her- but for a woman who never liked to sit down and always needed to be doing -something this sickness where she can't remember stuff and is hard for her to even move is being so difficult for her.  She hates the hospital bed which I can't blame her cause its not her bed and lets face it they are very uncomfortable!

I was up there a couple of weeks ago when a nurse came to check on her a clean her up I started to help grammy up off the couch the nurse stopped me because she wanted to check her muscle strength see if she stops using them we know they will deteriorate even faster and she did it! once she got the chance to try and told she could the (nurse had to remind her to push with her hand on the couch and use also for stability, push down on the floor with her feet.) so she has the muscle..  its that she is forgetting how to do it and is very scared and nervous about everything.

She is suffering there is not much living ability left, she talks about wanting to be home and be where Frank is, grandpa passed away four years ago, I long for her to be with her best friend.  I, of course, don't wish or hope that she pass away. it is just that I know that she misses him so much and wants to be with him in heaven!  I am grateful for the gospel so I know that he is waiting patiently for her while gram and us finish what ever lesson we need to learn from this. Then we will all be together again someday.

When I was looking through my pictures that I have I was surprised by the difference in theses pictures.  They are just a month a part -Detroit's baby blessing Oct. 14, 2012 then Thanks giving Nov 23, 2012..

I really hope she wont have to suffer much longer.  I will miss her a TON but at the same time I don't want her to be in pain anymore. I love u so much gram!

Winter wonderland

Could Felicity's attitude problem be caused from the snow?? The weather went from being 72 to 30 degrees and a lot of snow within the last few days and my little angel perfect child has changed. Seriously she has become like a whole different girl! These tantrums are driving me nuts because it is like everything I ask or say is the wrong thing and she just gets mad, screams, and cries! Oh the screaming! I have reached my breaking point I can't take it! She refuses her baths at night you probably think big deal right well if you know her then you know that something has happened because she is usually begging for her bath! Missing her bath was the most horrible thing ever!!
Last year we didn't get much snow and everything we did get it didn't stick more then a day so Felicity really hasn't gotten to experience it before and she HATES it! when it first started so intrigued she liked to look our the window and watch it but then when it never ended it wasn't as cool anymore she Hates it! In this one storm we got more snow then got all winter last year! She doesn't do we'll with change so I wonder if that could be part if her total personality change! I basically had to drag her outside and into the car to go to Abi and Bella's birthday party. She just wanted stay home!! Oh I was so frustrated it was the first time I realized I fit into regular jeans I was super excited so we HAD to get out if the house. I knew if we went to the party I would be able to have break from her whining! I was right she loves aunt Dee Dee so right away she had to have her full attention! I could just not win because when it all over and everyone was gone she didn't want to come home!! Getting ready for church today was miserable I had almost had it was thinking about not even going because it was a fight the whole time many tears were shed because with her screaming Detroit thought he needed to be in in the action an got upset himself!! Two screaming kids while trying to get out the door I was about ready to pull my hair out! But we some how managed to make it there because because I need to feel like I actually have friends to talk to. Our ward is so transient that people are moving in and out every week! I hate it most because no one stays long so it's hard to make friends because no one stays long.. Well that's enough rambling for tonight.
Goodnight!

Princesses

My nieces Abi and Bella turned 4 years so they had a princess birthday party. My sister did a wonderful job making sure their party was special. Every kid invited came in their favorite princess dress, they made necklaces, and played princess games. Then the princesses Bell and Rupunzle showed up to teach them how to be a princess and give them their own princess crown. It was the cutest thing ever! I really wish that I was creative and crafty.
