Moving forward

This week along with Detroit changing to the crib he figured out how to get up on his knees and rock he now scoots his knees up by his hands but doesn't have moving his hands forward yet so he will just fall on his head to move!!!

Same room

Well I feel that my baby isn't quite a baby anymore because he is beginning to get his knees up and rock I suspect he will be crawling anytime now. We also bought Felicity a toddler bed and put the side back on the crib for Detroit yesterday. This makes me so sad why do they have to grow so fast? I'm having anxiety about not having him in our room and them in the same room I really don't want him to wake her up! He has taken naps in the crib but last night after he had been asleep in the crib and woke up to eat he would NOT go back to sleep!! After trying normal things that usually work to put him back asleep but trying to let Russ get some sleep because he has not been feeling great this week Detroit and I ended up sleeping on the living room floor around 3... Nights like this with felicity I would just turn on her music and let her cry her self to sleep I just can't seem to get myself to do that when they are in the same room so he is back in our room tonight and just let him cry it out. Why am I having so much anxiety them in the same room? I don't know. I don't know what to do! I want and need him out of the bassinet because I want my room arrangement I used to have a he is past the weight recommend HE IS SO HEAVY! 22 pound at 7 months heavy!! He is sure going to take after his daddy in being a big and tall guy! :)

6 months old

His new favorite things at 6 months old are:
-Sitting up but still tips over
Sippy cup of water and also thinking he can drink out of a regular cup!!!
- rolling around grab toys with felicity which of course doesn't think that it's fun at all! but he doesn't even trying to push up his knees .
- what I call baby crunches because he looks like he tries to sit up.
-Sleeping in his high chair when it's tilted back.
- snuggling with mom in the middle of the night!!

Ice storm

Remember that ice storm we had well these pictures draft has been sitting on my blog so here I thought the snow looked kinda pretty.. All shiny..

Basketball

Men's basketball has started in our ward so one night after Russ had been at work all day and me and the kids were in the house all day I decided to get the kids all ready for bed and go cheer him on.. felicity cried pretty much the whole time because she wanted her daddy!
The pictures are of them stretching and warming up before the game. She sure loves to play games (including Wii fit) with her dad. Daddy's little buddy..

Detroit 5 months old

Detroit seems so much older to me then only 5 months. This month so far had been pretty tough for him. he got a left ear infection and then the antibiotic upset his little tummy that gave him a terrible diaper rash! Russell got ALOT of ear infections as a child and most of the time he would have no symptoms or signs his mom would see until it was ready to rupture so I worry we could have the same problem with Detroit.
Even with being sick he is still very smiley but is still very hard to get to laugh he is probably thinking HA mom is trying to make me laugh I'll just show her and just maybe if I sit here long enough just staring with no reaction she will leave me alone!! he figured out how to roll from his back to tummy he gets very proud of himself but other times he gets frustrated that he can't get back on to his back. He loves his big sister the amazement in his eyes as he watches her play and the excitement as he looks like he just wants to get up and play too! He does pretty good sitting up by himself until he pushes himself back and tips over. Durning night he still wakes up once or twice to eat. Right after Christmas I started him on oatmeal banana cereal and he LOVES it! He always pulls my hand in toward his mouth but since his eyes coordination isn't perfect he ends up making quite a mess but when the spoon is in his mouth he holds my hand so tight he doesn't want to let the spoon go!! Squalling and smiling the whole time. He is still a cuddle bug and I think is starting to became quite a mommy's boy.
