Zoo Trip

I have been wanting to take Felicity to the Zoo for quite awhile and we finally made it on Thursday!  We woke up early and got there as soon as it opened which turned out not to be quite smartest thing because not a lot of the animals where out and active yet.  We saw a bunch of empty animal pens and some zoo keepers cleaning them for like the first 30- 40 minutes!  The zoo seemed alot smaller to me then it used to be or maybe I'm just older now or something but I think we pretty much saw every thing in just the two hours we were there.  I know we didn't see the Giraffe's because they are working on fixing their home.  We had to leave to take Russell to his dentist appointment and then we were going to go back after Felicity's nap but decided it would be better to go to the pool. 

When we got to the tigers there was one right up by the window taking a quick swim which was probably my favorite part of our day also  how Felicity likes them too- we had to go visit them a second time but it was a little harder to see them because they had just gotten some food to eat.

We saw a short presentation of a trainer and a elephant while she checked the elephant's feet, mouth and ears.  Felicity liked it for the First few minutes but I think it was a little hard for the to see so she just wanted to get down and eat some snacks.. she didn't eat breakfast really well so she was probably pretty hungry. 

Another thing that was cool is we got to feed the Llama's some lettuce!  I'm not sure what Felicity thought of it but she did really well and wasn't nervous at all handing the lettuce all on her own!

Felicity age 2

Felicity is learning and growing so super fast  and is even more independent with her "I do it"!  She has grown to be very dramatic already especially when she finds a picture and remembers something like it and she wants to find it to MATCH IT!  For example the other day she was watching Snow White and remembered she has the book and just had to find it or we went to the Bees baseball game and bought her a stuffed animal and when we got home she had to find the picture of Russell and I we were dating at the bees game.  There were fireworks that night after the game and they were amazing!

Here are a few other things about her:  

We got sidewalk chalk but we use them on our broken screen door instead it works really well to practice the ABC' s and draw pictures of that letter.. and so that I don't have to try to take a chair down stairs or sit on the ground outside.  She knows the letters Q, K, F, E, pretty consistently I have no idea why the combination but whatever.  :)

 With the weather being in the 100's this summer who wouldn't want to spend all day every day in the pool?? okay so its more me then her most days but she still loves to swim and comes the "I do it" I really need to get her in swimming lessons!

She doesn't always like to brush her teeth, especially her top teeth it  becomes a fight almost every night.  I think this is an adorable picture :)  

She definitely doesn't sleep as good or as long as she used to but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later it takes me reading books to her until she is asleep.  She still needs her binkie to fall asleep and I hate it!  I can't figure out how to break her from it I wanted her done with it a long time ago dang it child!!

Summer!

I finally publishing a bunch of posts that I keep starting but then have no time to finish or honestly just forgot to publish!

I have heard that each pregnancy is different with each child only I never really understood until now these pregnancy hormones have been really hard since my siezure back in March  I have felt really depressed and grumpy and just want to stay in bed as much as I possibly can. My doctor is a little nervous I will have  postpartum after our boy is born!  I try to be up beat but its hard!



We are loving the warm weather I sure think that it has helped my mood be some better so that good but now with theses triple digits temperatures its really tempting stay inside I just can't be satisfied I guess! huh..

 

 I love that we have a pool here at our complex its the only way im surviving the heat though sometimes it is hard to get Felicity to get her suit on to go with me I'm guessing because we have no pool toys for her yet! :(  some time I'll get around to it...yes she loves to jump into the water but I think she gets a little bored of only jumping in..

UPDATE:  I really need to get her into some swimming lessons!  She thinks she is big enough to just take off on her own.  several times she has pushed off the steps and her head goes under! yes I am right there by her to catch her but this girl seriously has no fear!  Even holding her can become difficult at times because she tries to swim away!

Father's Day!

   

I am so grateful for the father's in my life.  Russell is a wonderul father and Felicity just adores him.  I love how very morning she wakes up before us and go to his side to wake him up to cuddle with him for a few mintues before she wants yogurt and cereal while watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse or Superwhy!  When he gets home from work she runs to his side to give him a hug.  She even loves to play Wii fit with him hula hooping and the marching band games are her favorite. 

I love his craziness even though it does drive me crazy sometimes its fun and it sure keeeps things interesting  around here all the time.  I love what a hard worker he is so that I can be a stay at home mom.  I love how he will make a late night Walmart run after work without complaining just because I was to lazy to leave the house and go grocery shopping which has happened many many MANY times.  Russell is my best friend I am so excited to be able to spend eterinity with him and my family.

My dad is my hero I remember being a daddy's girl so it's no surprise that Felicity is a papa's girl also. She calls him on her play phone dozons of times a day and when we go to my parents house she follows him around and makes sure he is in her sight every minute.   she LOVES be the center of his attention to make him laugh it is the best thing ever! Airplanes are awesome whenever she hears one she stops whatever is she doing to run to the window and look up in the sky to find the airplane. We went and visited papa at his work a couple weeks ago he even let us get inside the plane Felicity says it was AWESOME!

I love these men with all my heart that I feel so blessed to have them in my life forever and ever :)

2 years

Wow two years old!! We had such a fun princess birthday party for her!  Felicity and her cousins Abi and Bell dressed up.  We had dinner, presents, and cupcakes!  We bought a kitchen for her so her aunts gave her cute things to to go with it a toaster, blender that spins, microwave that actually lights up and turns around, and a lot of food.  Felicity got really spoiled :)

Felicity is very independent and smart she talks alot and is very good at matching shapes and colors.  Felicity is obessed with shoes and is still a very picky eater -she hates to eat it gets very fusterating!

Her actually birthday was on mother's day so her grandma Beth and aunt Tracie come over for breakfast pancakes and then after church we went up to my parents for our usual Sunday dinner and visit.  I love my mom I think she is pretty amazing with all she does and her freindship and amazing strength in the gospel.
