Our Summer... catching up

HAND DOWN COUCH

This couch was my Grandma Moulton's couch that Myndee had then Marci had it.  We decided with Detroit joining our family that we needed one. Now as it then turns out Myndee just had this in storage so we decided it was our turn to have them.We actually have two, one is in the living room and other as you can see we put in the playroom.  The couch's are obviously very old but it is better then nothing and they work and are comfy.

JULY 4TH

Russell was working of course so after eating a quick bite at our ward breakfast and dropping Russell off at work felicity and I headed up north to watch the Kaysville parade.  I love Kaysville but with a month left before Detroit was going to be here I was miserable in the heat the parades are just not exciting to me as they used to be.  What happened to all the cool floats people used to do?? People have gotten lazy "lets just get in our truck and throw candy!!"SERIOUSLY!!  I was glad that my sisters were also there to help Felicity so that she could be right up in the action with her cousins.  After so fun partying with the fam Felicity and I  hurried home so that we could have a tiny bit of holiday with him to watch some fireworks which I happen think is the best part of  Indepenece day but the crowds and the horrible car lines after not so fun so we just went and sat on the grass at Chevrolet.  I worked great we sat there just as a little family watching the Murray park show no loud booms to scare felicity and no lines getting home it was so fast.

CHERRY HILL
I had not been to Cherry Hill since high school but now I'd like to try to go next year. Myndee had some extra passes so she took us girls for a few hours.  Felicity loved the slide she must have gone down a dozen times with Myndee while I sat in the lazy river. OH how I loved the lazy river.  Felicity wore herself out and fell asleep warming up wrapped in our towels.  What fun day!!

ZOO

I Love the Zoo!  We got to the Llamas right as the keeper was feeding them so she let us feed them some lettuce!  Felicity was so brave I was amazed when she feed them all by herself!  The polar bear was really active playing in the water. So CUTE!

 DINOSOUR MUSEUM

hum what to say about it..  I was really impressed it was actually pretty cool.  Felicity was pretty funny when we got to the part where you can actually dig in the sand for bones because this little girl who hates being durty was not sure what to think of the sand andwould not hold the brush and dig but eventually gave in

Life.. random thoughts

I never really understood when friends and family said that every pregnancy is different until this pregnancy with Felicity it was pretty easy and I loved being pregnant and the fun little baby kicks.  I had no problems with my seizures and was on the lowest dose. Yes the last trimester was hard being so uncomfortable  and just wanting to hold my precious baby, but compared to this pregnancy it has been super hard I had a seizure and am taking a high dose of my medication.  My hormones are all out of whack I go from super depressed and just want to cry EVERY minute about everything and nothing.  I also have times that I feel dizzy and nausea, my stomach in my chest and cant breath half the time.  These baby kicks I swear at times he is bruising me.  I hate this pregnancy I cant wait to feel myself again- hopefully soon.. When will I feel happy again?
I have a scheduled C-section for August 7th.  That means I only have 13 days left but it still seems like forever because I am so miserable.  Not only is my whole body achy but Detroit is positioned right on a nerve that is making my whole left thigh numb not to mention it hurts really low when I walk, so I just want to sit around all day!I have chronic nose congestion and nothing seems to help I hate not being able to breath easy and since I can't breath and I'm super warm all the time I can't get any sleep!

I can't sleep because I of course at this stage I just cant seem to get comfortable and I end up kicking all the pillows off and then I also have to get up dozens of times at night to pee.  I also have so much on my mind lately like I just want this little guy in my arms instead of in my tummy but then I'm scared to death of change so I'm freaking out. How is my sweet little angel going to handle having a new baby around?  How am I gonna survive- well EVERYTHING?  Will I be able to bond with him as easily as I did with Felicity?  Will I ever be able to stop crying?  Will I ever stop having the annoying crazy dreams that leaves me more exhausted the when I fell asleep?

Felicity is a good sleeper at night I just wish I could keep her in her bed all night, see at random times at night she sneaks into our room to sleep on the floor.  Cody will usually growl so that wakes me up but she never says a word just comes in and goes to sleep on the floor.  It makes me nervous that will step on her one the Bazillions of times I get up during the night!

* On a more exciting note though Felicity has gone to sleep Monday night without her binkie Tuesday night without her binkie and today, Wednesday nap time without binkie ~ insert jumping for joy here~ :) I am so proud of her!  I just hope that we can keep it up!!  She has started shorter nap times that are going from being 2-3 hours to barley and hour which makes me pretty sad but hopefully that means she will have an earlier bedtime!  I HOPE!!
Potty training is going fairly well but we are pretty slow I leave it up to her in the morning when getting her dressed I ask if she wants to be big and wear panties or not be big and wear a diaper.  sometimes she loves to sit on the potty and we are consistely sitting there but other times she fights me and fights me not to sit there SO frustrating!!

And just a random tea party picture just because she is so adorable!

Zoo Trip

I have been wanting to take Felicity to the Zoo for quite awhile and we finally made it on Thursday!  We woke up early and got there as soon as it opened which turned out not to be quite smartest thing because not a lot of the animals where out and active yet.  We saw a bunch of empty animal pens and some zoo keepers cleaning them for like the first 30- 40 minutes!  The zoo seemed alot smaller to me then it used to be or maybe I'm just older now or something but I think we pretty much saw every thing in just the two hours we were there.  I know we didn't see the Giraffe's because they are working on fixing their home.  We had to leave to take Russell to his dentist appointment and then we were going to go back after Felicity's nap but decided it would be better to go to the pool.

When we got to the tigers there was one right up by the window taking a quick swim which was probably my favorite part of our day also  how Felicity likes them too- we had to go visit them a second time but it was a little harder to see them because they had just gotten some food to eat.

We saw a short presentation of a trainer and a elephant while she checked the elephant's feet, mouth and ears.  Felicity liked it for the First few minutes but I think it was a little hard for the to see so she just wanted to get down and eat some snacks.. she didn't eat breakfast really well so she was probably pretty hungry.

Another thing that was cool is we got to feed the Llama's some lettuce!  I'm not sure what Felicity thought of it but she did really well and wasn't nervous at all handing the lettuce all on her own!

Here are the pictures of our day:

Felicity age 2

Felicity is learning and growing so super fast  and is even more independent with her "I do it"!  She has grown to be very dramatic already especially when she finds a picture and remembers something like it and she wants to find it to MATCH IT!  For example the other day she was watching Snow White and remembered she has the book and just had to find it or we went to the Bees baseball game and bought her a stuffed animal and when we got home she had to find the picture of Russell and I we were dating at the bees game.  There were fireworks that night after the game and they were amazing!
Here are a few other things about her:
We got sidewalk chalk but we use them on our broken screen door instead it works really well to practice the ABC' s and draw pictures of that letter.. and so that I don't have to try to take a chair down stairs or sit on the ground outside.  She knows the letters Q, K, F, E, pretty consistently I have no idea why the combination but whatever.  :)
With the weather being in the 100's this summer who wouldn't want to spend all day every day in the pool?? okay so its more me then her most days but she still loves to swim and comes the "I do it" I really need to get her in swimming lessons!

She doesn't always like to brush her teeth, especially her top teeth it  becomes a fight almost every night.  I think this is an adorable picture :)
She definitely doesn't sleep as good or as long as she used to but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later it takes me reading books to her until she is asleep.  She still needs her binkie to fall asleep and I hate it!  I can't figure out how to break her from it I wanted her done with it a long time ago dang it child!!

Her 2 year old Stats:
Weight: 27.1 lbs.   52%
Height: 35.1 in.     80%

Summer!

I finally publishing a bunch of posts that I keep starting but then have no time to finish or honestly just forgot to publish!
I have heard that each pregnancy is different with each child only I never really understood until now these pregnancy hormones have been really hard since my siezure back in March  I have felt really depressed and grumpy and just want to stay in bed as much as I possibly can. My doctor is a little nervous I will have  postpartum after our boy is born!  I try to be up beat but its hard!

We are loving the warm weather I sure think that it has helped my mood be some better so that good but now with theses triple digits temperatures its really tempting stay inside I just can't be satisfied I guess! huh..

I love that we have a pool here at our complex its the only way im surviving the heat though sometimes it is hard to get Felicity to get her suit on to go with me I'm guessing because we have no pool toys for her yet! :(  some time I'll get around to it...yes she loves to jump into the water but I think she gets a little bored of only jumping in..

UPDATE:  I really need to get her into some swimming lessons!  She thinks she is big enough to just take off on her own.  several times she has pushed off the steps and her head goes under! yes I am right there by her to catch her but this girl seriously has no fear!  Even holding her can become difficult at times because she tries to swim away!
